Who cares who invented it?
I just got done reading a lengthy discussion on who actually invented this escape from an armbar. The way I see it, no two escapes are the same. The mechanics behind them may be the same, but no two players will implement a technique the same way. Every player adapts moves to suite their body, size, etc... There are too many egos in the world. Who cares who invented a certain move, because really it was all derived from overseas and some old man in the hills 100's of years ago probably already came up with it, just did not have the means to document it, and now somebody discovers it, puts it a book or online lays claim to inventing it. What a load of bullocks.

In that case, I'm going to rename every grappling technique I've ever encountered "The Ashby". Book and DVD are forthcoming.

I invented a move but haven't really showed it off yet. It's called the Demon Cobra Death Spiral Nipple Twist. It's kind of like what you see in the video but done via your nipple, I didn't cover the room in plastic the first time I did it to someone...talk about a mess. 🙄
