Well, I suppose that depends on which one of the guys you're asking about. I'm the guy with the red & white belt. Cameron is the guy in the black belt.
Cameron made a pulling action to setup tsuri-komi-goshi. He pulled a little hard, which told me what he was trying to do. I was able to follow the energy of his pull and went further than he really wanted me to. I went a little too far to effectively counter a player of Cameron's caliber though.

Since our club is predominately a recreational club, we don't deal with the grip fighting games that are commonplace in modern sport Judo. Anton Geesink just lifted his arms straight up in the air and started walking toward his opponent. When the opponent took a grip, Geesink would let his arms fall and use that as his grip.
