We've blown past 300 videos online, and are filming weekly to bring more information to everyone. We've barely made a dent in the overall scope of our vision to have the entire technical syllabus of our martial arts available online.

What's your favorite way to find videos? Is the organization better here compared to the YouTube channel? Do you simply subscribe to the videos at YouTube and catch them as they are released? What sort of feedback can you offer us?

We have been previewing them as they come out. We are currently downloading all of the aikido videos to jump drives and external hard drives so that we can access them anytime/anywhere we need them.

If im looking for something in particular, its easier to find it on the forum than it is to search for it on youtube. Although I tend to frequent youtube from time to time as well. If im sending an example to someone, its just easier to copy and past the link.

I thing the organization here at the forum is better than that at the Youtube channel. Each video here is in a section/sub section that relates to the video. The Youtube channel has options to sort such as date added, most viewed and most popular, but, as far as I can tell, there is no way to sort based on category or even sort by art (Aikido, Judo and Jyodo).

I find it easier to find a specific video or topic here at the forum. I (as James mentioned) started archiving the videos to make it even easier to view a specific video/topic at any time even if I find myself without an internet connection.

Is there a way to download youtube videos to have and burn on a DVD or make a VCD? Are we allowed? I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I believe YouTube has an option for downloading the files. It will be pretty time consuming if you wanted them all. We have been discussing the potential of a DVD but nothing concrete yet.

To sum up - VidDownloader will allow you to download youtube videos and even convert them to DivX AVI, which is supported by most portable devices. Making a DVD from this point shouldn't be too difficult with the right software.

i'm going experimant and make some dvds to sell an distribute out of the youtube material -- what body of work is most interesting do you think? what would you like to maost have in that format?
i think for a short run comercial production dvd we can maybe get @ 2-3 hours worth on one disk-- so we could put alot on there but it might get unweildy to navagate through--if its too comprehensive-- any thoughts?
