No-gi seminar with Justin Rose - 12/12/09
A lot of the old timers around the dojo are familiar with the name. Justin was one of the first Oklahoma tournament Judo champions the dojo produced, way back in the origins on 16th street. Justin has continued training in Judo, and when he moved to the Dallas metroplex in the late 1990's he added a variety of mixed martial arts to his resume including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Vale Tudo and Muay Thai. He owns Bushido Martial Arts in Arlington, home to several amateur and professional MMA fighters & title holders.Justin will be visiting on Saturday, December 12th. We plan to hit the mat at 3PM for a dose of no gi work. The current recommendation is gi pants and an old T-shirt. Justin plants to focus on countering striking techniques both standing and grappling. The current plan (subject to change) is one hour of standing work, a short break, one hour of grappling and a half hour or more for open mat and Q&A.
