Reviewing Sato on Kuzushi
Kimball Martin provided me with some nice translation of Tadayuki Sato's kuzushi discussion (relflects also the work of Shishida and Kawakami, 2006) --relating movement of the center of gravity in relation to posture, the control of the space defined by the line of the elbows (kiteimen) , optimal length/distance of kuzushi on foot strike and kuzushi to the outside of the little toe reduced to a point -- all tied to sumiotoshi and hikiothoshi-- very interesting--also learned that Sato is a student of Osawa and that his father was trained by Nagakoka-- small world after all
