Extra Playtime this Friday and Saturday?
I'm gonna have to work this weekend (the Army is sponsoring the PBR event) and I'll have some time to kill while I'm in the city. I'd be up from some extra Judo quality time if anyone is intersted. I'll have more details on time Monday, but I'm sure I'll be killing time between 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday.
Let me know.
I'm game, I get off around 3:30
Update: I'll be in 4-7 on Friday, I anyone's willing.
Is that a challenge 😎
You'll be at the dojo 4-7?
4pm-7pm, on Friday 2/17? Lots of Judo can happen in 3 hours 😉
If I have to come into town on my day off for all this crap, I expect to have a lotta fun.
I just had a good thought, though. Do we have access to a laptop with USB? Perhaps that connects to whatever projection we have in the dojo? My DVD burning experiments have failed, but I can carry two or three Kosen Judo videos on my flash drive... maybe a few other grappling viedos.
Anyone feelin' me?
Hmmm.... you thinking Friday night Judo videos? I could bring my laptop from work, which has DVD & USB. Not sure if I can do video out though, or if we have a cable to the projector to do it.
We have DVD, so we could do Judo Justice...
I have a laptop we can use, let me know.
I was just thinking it might be a good time to play with some of that material. A few of us had talked about doing a "study group" that looked at books and video and got some reps with the material.
The Kosen videos are what started those discussions, so, unless there is an argument, I'd like to do a little work with them. If this turns out to be a fruitful endeavor, we wight try to do it regulraly (once a month, once a week, who knows?).
Any idea what timeframes might exist on Saturday?
I'd love to see some time devoted to a study group thing. There's so much material in Judo it's hard to do it all. I'd like to spend some time working with Nage no Kata & Goshin Jitsu no Kata for sure, maybe Katame no Kata. I think the Kosen videos are a great thing to look at too.
I'm usually free in the afternoon on Saturdays.
I could do Satudays after Aikido... but I think I'd be whipped.
Yeah, late afternoon Judo on Saturdays would be pushing it for the guys who do mornings as well. The Friday night timeslot has no conflicts, so it could be a cool focus class. I've thought about the same thing for Aikido, looking at the upper katas (san/yon/go/roku).
I could do fridays without a problem
