Questions about Walking kata

Ok... heres a question - perhaps a bit stupid, maybe I should have asked and had it answered long ago...

Why are there 4 reps of the first turn in the walk, but 2 reps of al the other turns?

I assume that someone must have thought that particular movement was twice as important as everything else... but why?

The first turn... The one that looks like release 1... Theres 4 reps of it. Then 2 helicopter turns, 2 hipswitches, and 2 backwards turns and 2 polish mirror moves. Why 2x as many of the 1st turn?

now i get what you are saying -- i have no idea-- i will mull upon it
