When ending class in iaido Susan or whomever is teaching bows to the students while saying:

O-gokuro sama deshita.

Which is a way of thanking someone who has undergone great pains in aiding you....i.e. training with you.

This usually comes from a head/boss/leader.

We bow back and say: Domo arigato gozaimashita.

Just a thought if you wanted to change things up a bit from the regular "Rei" bow.

I always conclude class with oyasumi nasai
except at the College I teach at there I say help us put up the mats. 😄

Oyasumi nasai--"Good night?" What if you're leading a morning class? 😄

I usually say, "Thank you all very much for coming."
