From what I can find on the Internet, the Kosen folks are sort of ne waza specialists (holding, choking, arm lock) though they also performed throwing as well.

The contest rules of kosen judo are much more like the old Kodokan rules than modern-day rules set forth by the IJF. Things like: no time limit, no border line of mat, and winning only by submission or ippon.

These guys are pretty awesome.
When I watched these videos, I felt like our school was more connected to these guys and the old school Kodokan than to our "Olympic" contemporaries.

I wish all of the instruction wasn't in Japanese.

Demonstrates some tachi waza with transition into ne waza. VERY SLICK. Then follows with lots of their drag-down style and some turtle attacks.

I had Volume 3, but there were some quality issues. I'm trying to download it again. Also, some of the note from the downlaod suggest that one of the judoka demonstrating might be Kimura. I have no way to confirm or discount this.
