This board dead?
It seems there hasn't been much activity here. If there's any interest, I'd like to push this forward. Japanese is a fairly simple language once you get the hang of the grammar. Once the map changes (the grammatical map in your head that makes sense of word placement, choice, and particles) it seems pretty straight forward.

I'm no expert, but I can offer what I can in the way of links, info, etc. I've been dying to learn Nihongo myself for some time, and I think it would be somewhat of a bonding experience for those who'd also like to learn.

Hajimemashite, Stifu desu. Yoroshiku.

It's certainly a bit dusty in here 😄

John's been busy with a few pet projects. He lived in Japan for a while teaching English as a second language. I wouldn't mind the dust bunnies being blown off, though my free time for practicing Japanese is pretty low right now.

Well, with ya'll's approval, I'd like to move forward, if slowly. We can simply take it by ear for a bit, and try to define where we're all at and what we can do, and go from there.

I don't have a whole lot of free time myself, to be honest. However, I do want to learn, and if I didn't try, I would feel like I'd failed before I began. Maybe we can find some enthusiasm if we can get a few people more people in here.
