Partner Walking
This is a great drill for working on randori skills, following and sensitivity. Stand facing your partner, and extend your hands. You want to have your palms fully touching when you start and all the way through the drill. The lead partner will execute the first three movements from the walking kata, ignoring your presence. Your job is to maintain the relationship of your centers of gravity, timing and pressure between your hands.
In the video below Lou Fernbaugh is the lead partner on the left side of the video. My job is to follow Lou's actions as completely as possible. The 3rd movement set is really tough. Thanks to Chris Wilson for videography.
