Tsune-no-kamae Position
The most basic things are quite often the things we teach first. Tsune-no-kamae is a very simple posture in Jyodo, yet we often do it incorrectly.The jo should balance on our middle finger, with our index & ring fingers only slightly touching it to provide support. The wrist and hand should be loose and relaxed.
The jo should hang naturally at your side:

With the tip in your centerline at about belt level:

And with Nick's help it's easy to show how this comes together with a partner. We hold a jo between us at our centers, using only a little pressure to keep it in place. The tip of my jo should intersect this horizontal jo:
