new certificates
I just wanted to tell you about the symbolism in the new certificates--I took as my inspiriation for the new dan rank certificates the zen "kechimayku" scroll-- the scroll of transmission in the zen lineage that records the bloodline from teacher to student from the Origin ( the original energy of the art represented as the "enso" circle) then flowing back and forth with each successive generation represented on the red line until the student's name is written in at the bottom and the blood line returns back to the circle --so it represents that the student is a continuation of the energy of the whole ancestral lineage and carries the lineage forward with this new rank -- i hope you enjoy -- i should start getting them done this week!
