Q: Kare ha okii desu ka? - Is he big?
A: Iie, kare ha chisai desu. - No, he is small.

Q: Kuruma ha atarashii desu ka? - Is the car new?
A: Hai, kuruma ha atarashii desu. - Yes the car is new.

Q: Anata ha, sensei desu ka? - Are you the(a) teacher?
A: Iie, watashi ha seto desu. - No, I am the(a) student.

Please note that there is no a or the in Japanese. Nouns just exist without articles.

Just wanted to say that I know I put up a lot of words on this lesson, but don't think that you have to learn them all in one day.

When I was studying intensively I tried to learn 3-4 words a day. Now I learn about 1 or 2 words a week.

Wouldn't it be ookii instead of okii and chiisai instead of chisai? Or does it depend on dialect?

If it is not impertinent to answer for a 3-year old post, yes, it should be 'ookii' and 'chiisai'. However, "okie" describes the accent with which these words are pronounced in Windsong Doujou. 🙂

Shouldn't Kare ha actually be pronounced Kare wa although the hiragana for it would be ha but not pronounced that way?
