Kibisu-gaeshi, koichi-gaeshi, uchimata-sukashi, yamaarashi
Fun little video I stumbled on. Kind of long @ 7 min, 48 sec., but it moves quick. Any thoughts?

Personally, I'm a little wary of just getting down and reaching for a guy's leg willy nilly, but I'm curious what others think, too. As a counter for hiza, though, I've done it a couple of times. His foot's already there, and I don't have to do much to get at it.
I like the ko uchi gari counter at 2:35 which is a little more natural for me -- stepping with it, doing a goblet step and throwing to uke's sweeping leg side-- only I tend to add my foot in there, like a foot prop. The doing hiza as a counter is little wonky for me, but that may take time to get the hang of it. I know others have used it to great effect.
Uchimata sukashi is a great example of following and letting uke's own energy throw them.
But I have noooo experience with yama arashi. That's a new one on me!
I had the same thoughts re: kuchiki-daoshi and Kibisu-gaeshi, though I don't think they are doing it willy nilly. 😂 (people don't use that word enough anymore...willy nilly)
It seems like it would take some practice to build an efficiency at it (of course what doesn't right?), and I don't know if I would like to build my Judo around it, but I have to say...I like it!
My concern, and I'm guessing yours too, is getting a knee in the face or having the guy pounce on top of you. I see timing, timing, timing being crucial here (of course, again, when is it not?) I am so glad I can bring my technical expertise to these discussions. 😂
I like grabbing legs, whenever I get the chance. It's hard to find good opportunities around our place, becuase we tend to move a lot and work from standarad grips, both of which are great ways to keep people from grabbing your legs (in my experiments).
Would the first 2 be considered MMA 1 leg take downs or versions of them?
