Be conscious of biters
When and if something ever goes down, the only rule is there are no rules. And to quote Method Man: people are like Mike Tyson, when nothing else works they start biting!

Here's a link to a story where a 65 year old man got his pinky bitten off @ of all places, a health care rally. Of course it was in CA, so go figure. 😉

more typical of bar fights and nitty gritty self defense -- a brother of a friend of mine once bit out a man's throat in a bar fight and went to prison for it-- another gal i knew bit off a biker fellas member when he tried to rape her in an alley-- bitting can get very nasty and dangerous
Best advice-- dont get in bar fights with "Silm" (or any of the Mills boys) -- dont try to take advantage of "Scooter" or her friends after work at the bar and when throwing punches at our friends in California , keep your pinkies to yourself

I remember a shot from the Bruce Lee documentary that the history channel aired not long ago, and some grappler had Bruce on the ground in an arm bar, his legs under Bruce's head, and what does Bruce do to get out of it? Bites the guy's leg.

Damon Kornele (AKA Demon Cobra)is a self professed biter, so if you're grappling with him make sure he is not playing by prison rules.

I did not believe it but there is an art of biting that the filipinos have and in this youtube demo Paul Vuak is demonstrating it

😂 Now when did I say that? I think crazy legs is trying to pull a quick one on you here folks.

And as cool as I think Demon Cobra is for a nickname, I can't use it. You can't give yourself a nickname or it's just lame when people find out. Although when I was watching the comedian who said "when I get you on the ground I'm gonna be all over you like a demon cobra!", I was secretly hoping someone from the dojo was also watching him and would give me that nickname without my prodding.

It's just helpful to know those rules should the need ever arise. Which of course it has not. 😉

Good find John!

People are tricky little monkeys, it's good to know there are people out there actually thinking about / training to do these things to you. Opens the minds eye just a little bit wider. Maybe we could have our resident dentist offer these folks some free 'dental work'. Hard to bite when all you have is gums 😉 and I don't think any of the denture adhesive out is strong enough to allow for serious biting damage to occur. Of course that could be a product to work on -- "Extreme Denture Glue!"...developed for whack jobs who like to bite but don't have the teeth to do it! <--I'm trademarking that idea and slogan by the way, so nobody think about stealing it or I'll sue!

In Australia, where I live, and in the UK, some street fighters have a reputation for biting their victim's noses off completely. Biting, gripping with the teeth and tearing ears off is more common. Lots of blood and someone scarred for life. Of course, if they're still alive and know who you their maimer was, then you can expect them and their friends to pay you a visit, and you can bet they will be carrying and they'll be loaded for bear!

Here is a New Years Eve brawl news story, which includes an ear biting:

I forgot to mention also that 'glassings' are now very common here in Australia, which I think is utterly disgusting. Angry drunks just take the glass they are drinking from and ram it into somebody's face. And quite a number of women do it themselves, or are on the receiving end of a glassing. The victim can easily lose an eye as well. Obviously you end up with some pretty awful scarring on the face as well...
