Lesson 7.Verbs.
New words.
taberu - to eat
nomu - to drink
suru - to do
iku - to go
kuru - to come
ashita - tomorrow
kyou - today
nani - what
doko - where
//Simple Sentences
We'll look at the making simple sentences with these verbs.
John ha hamburger o taberu. - John eats a hamburger.
lit. (John subject hamburger direct object eats.)
Kyle ha beer o nomu. - Kyle drinks beer.
lit. (Kyle subject beer direct objects drinks.)
Chris ha judo o suru. - Chris does judo.
Ashita, watashi ha dojo he iku. - Tomorrow, I will go to the dojo.
Kyou, Kyle ha dojo he kuru. - Kyle will come to the dojo today.
//Simple Questions
You can also create questions with these verbs.
Chris ha judo o suru desu ka? - Does Chris do judo?
Kyou, Kyle ha dojo he kuru desu ka? - Will Kyle come to the dojo today?
//Advanced Questions
If you're using the question words nani, or doko, the subject goes before the question word.
Anata ha doko he iku desu ka? - Where will you go?
Kyle ha nani o taberu desu ka? - What will Kyle eat?
Kyou nani o suru desu ka? - What will you do today? (What are you doing today?)
Practice.
Ask each other some questions about what the other will do today, and answer.
